Mark G. Simpson
writer

A recovering insurance salesman (now working for an investment company), former actor in Don Pearson's Malemute Saloon variety show, and a resident of Ester for two and a half decades, Mark has written numerous articles for the paper, chiefly in his column, TEOTWAWKI. (When asked by the publisher what this acronym stands for, he said he couldn't remember, but that it was appropriate.) Mark can be credited as one of the sources of inspiration for the founding of The Ester Republic. He is the self-appointed commissioner of the Ester Football League, a rabid Rolling Stones fan, and a major moving force in Ester Community Park improvements and activities.
